Piggy Tails and Geek Squad

Well, it wasn't easy (some wiggling and chasing), but we managed pig tails with all of Maggie Ruth's uncontrolable hair. Saturday morning Maggie Ruth went to work with her daddy and I decided to try pig tails... it worked. I thought it was pretty cute and I really couldn't believe that they stayed up... all day!

Riley Grace often loves to force Maggie to have her picture made with her. You can usually see the distress in Maggie's face. One day she'll get her back, I'm sure!

Look out Geek Squad... here we come. Maggie Ruth and Caroline are trying to get a jump start on their computer skills. This is the newest toy of choice when they're together (Riley Grace's old Barbie computers). Thank Goodness we have two of them!!!

P.S. Geek Squad... as in the ones that come to your house to service your computer in the black and white Volkswagon Beetle bug for those of you who didn't get that!

Thank you Lord for OREOs!

Thank you Lord for such a beautiful day Wednesday (and thank you for OREOs)! The girls and I decided to have Oreo's and milk outside on the patio for snack and man was that fun!!! As you can tell they both enjoyed their cookies and their milk. I just want to take a minute to thank my God for all the blessings he sends my way each and everyday. Forgive me for not always reconizing them! First of all, if it weren't for Russell, I wouldn't have this beautiful back yard for my girls and I to enjoy (especially Riley Grace and her trampoline)... Thank you Lord for Russell! Second, I'm am so blessed to be the mother of two amazing little girls... Thank you Lord for healthy children! I'm struggling with some (rather silly) personal issues right now that I won't go into detail about but to put it in a nutshell... Thank you Lord for the little things in life like OREOs and milk with my girls! Please give me more moments like these!!!

Home for a day...

Well, we're home from a wonderful trip to Gatlinburg with the Wiggins Family. We left last Friday and returned late Wednesday. We got to go skiing on Saturday, but that was our only ski day. I was kind of sad... that's my favorite! Sunday we went to Cade's Cove. Monday it rained ALL day so we killed the day shopping at Bass Pro Shop and the Outlets. Tuesday was beautiful (70 degrees) so we went up in the mountains for a picninc and some hiking. I'll give y'all lots more details when I have more time, but right now I'm packing so we can leave for our Young Farmers Conference in Mobile. We'll be back Sunday. Here are a few snapshots of our trip! Maggie Ruth went skiing too! She made 3 trips down the slopes between my legs and she loved it!!!!

ooops, I wasn't finished!

Sorry, I apparently didn't finish my last post...

Turn off the player on the right to hear the video... headed to Gatlinburg... sorry for the short post.

The Talent Show

... and if I do say so myself... they were by far the most talented!!! (I may be a little prejudice.)

Last night was the Andalusia Elementary School Talent Showcase. Riley Grace, Matthew, Caleb and Holly Majors sang "Soul Food" from their Christmas musical at church. They did an awesome job!!! Please

A day in the life...

A day in the life of Maggie Ruth...Maggie Ruth is FULL TIME as I'm sure most of our little ones are. I just thought I'd share a few pictures I mangaged to snap while Maggie was being "Maggie"!

This is Maggie in her carseat on the way to Destin not too long ago. While driving and trying to quiet her I just handed her a mini chocolate chip cookie. I'm not sure how much of it she actually ate because it looks like most of it was still in her hair and on her face. I didn't turn around after I gave it to her until Riley said, "...um, Mama... Look at Maggie!" Man can she make a monster mess out of anything!!!

Crack... this is Maggie in her prefered attire... nothing!!! When we're at home for the day she fusses and pulls at her clothes until I give in and take them off. On this particular day she had tried nonstop to get her diaper off as well. That's the claw marks you might can see just above her diaper...her own fingernails!

Talk about having to break a bad habit! Maggie isn't attached to "a" paci...she attached to as many as she can possibly find at one time! This is her with 2 in her mouth and one in her hand! Shonna, if you do figure out how to get rid of the paci...I'll take any suggestions! I'm not looking forward to that day!
