bebes (bananas)
If you haven't found the new mini bananas, let me tell you they are a new favorite at our house. Maggie Ruth is already part monkey (in her ability to climb anything) and she eats these like she going to morph into one just any day. This afternoon when she got up from her nap she went straight for the bebes (her word for bananas). Before I decided to get the camera out she had already eaten 3. She scarfs them down like they're running from her, its hilarious.
Riley Grace will be home this weekend!!! I can't wait to see her and post some pictures of her.

To work with Daddy...cont.
This morning, as Russell was leaving I, (as usual) asked what he'd be doing today- since its always something different and I can plan whether or not he'll be home for lunch...anyway, all that to say this. Maggie Ruth and I got to go with Russell to "get cows" as we've always called. Russell has a sweet, sweet man that buys most of his cattle for him (Mr. Randy). While we were over at Mr. Randy's barn his wife, Mrs. Wanda came up to see if we wanted to go to her nurse barn. She's in charge of "nursing" the sick cows and calves, and any other stray animal that happens to wander up. She's so good at what she does and loves to share the animals with us when we go over. Today there were two calves that Maggie Ruth got to pet (for the first time) and she also got to feed a mama cow (as we call them). There were 2 new kittens that someone had left at the barn just yesterday and tonight she told me that a stray baby goat wandered up late this afternoon. She welcomes all of the animals! We had a ball petting the calves and giving one of them his bottle. I just had to share the pictures with you all of Maggie. I love the way she would squat down to try to get them to come to her. She was about eye level with them already, but I guess that's how she thought they'd come to her. It was precious. She also just loves to "moo" at them. Its like she knows what they're saying so she just talks back to them.
Ooops! Sorry, I forgot to take the time to rotate some of the pictures before I made the slide show. Maybe you won't have a crick in your neck when you're done! I also realized, as I had finished typing, that I should've waited for the slide show to load...sorry for the 2 posts! Mendy I did it too and I was not about to go back and retype it all! If it weren't so late maybe I'd have the patients to change it...but its bedtime!!

Beat the Heat
When you run out of space on the patio, just use your feet!
Friday night I was out grilling burgers and decided that my poor potted plants were officially on the brink of death. I got the water hose out and Maggie Ruth decided she could water them for me. Once we did manage to get them wet, she took over the hose. For the next hour she chased Russell and me all over the patio trying to wet us. More than once she succeeded.
I finally got a shot of the huge smile on her face. She didn't stand still long enough to get much else.
Occasionally she'd accidentally soak her own head. At first she wasn't sure if she liked that or not, but before long she was loving it!

A Week at the beach!
Just wanted to share our pictures from the beach. We all had a blast. Riley Grace had to go to Brian's on Sunday so she missed out on most of the week. Maggie Ruth didn't decide until late Tuesday afternoon that her feet could actually touch the sand. This was a challenge for the first few days, but thank goodness she changed her mind. She also loved the ocean, however, it wasn't as inviting as usual. Aside from the double red flags and severe rip current, there were sand sharks everywhere. They would swim right up to the shore... kind of scary. We stayed in the "ankle/knee deep" water. Hope I didn't bore you all with too many pictures.
P.S. We went for an ultrasound today and we've got a good healthy heart beat! Jan. 21st will be here soon!
