Its harvest time again... cotton is in the works right now, my personal favorite. This afternoon I took the girls over to the Riley Place where Russell was busy building modules. The girls got to get up on the module builder and watch him. Of course, Riley Grace was busy working it in no time at all. She just needed a refresher course. Maggie Ruth and Riley Grace both got into the module builder and played in the cotton before it was packed down. They had a great time and didn't want to come home!

They won't...believe me!!! I can't imagine anything that would (or could) compare to being raised on a farm! I love the farm and appreicate all the lessons learned - a lot of them being very tough ones - from being brought up in a farm family. The girls will ALWAYS get a little "teary-eyed" when they hear that song too:)!!
Looks like more fun than picking cotton by hand. I really didn't have to pick. I do remember being in the field with the pickers and riding to the gin.
Always a farmer's daughter,
Kathy
You can tell those girls are having a blast!

I am sure those memories will stay forever in the hearts and minds!!
Tommy Thomspson farms around the area that I grew up and now reside, and I can remember playing in the module full of cotton. IT WAS A BLAST!
Those are some neat pictures of Riley's flying trip! I would love to do that! Sounds like fun!
